The Egyptian Tax Authority announces expansion of e-receipt obligation in B2C transactions
The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) announced that additional taxpayers will be required to issue electronic receipts in business-to-consumer (B2C) transactions, starting September 15, 2025.
Egypt mandates new group of taxpayers to issue e-receipts in B2C transactions
Egypt is taking further steps to automate tax collection. On January 9, 2025, The ETA announced that a new group of taxpayers would be obligated to issue e-receipts in B2C transactions.
Selected foreign businesses in Egypt will integrate with ETA portal for real-time validations
Since 22 June 2023, Egypt imposed obligations to account for VAT when foreign vendors render digital and remote services to Egyptian customers.
