E-transportation Phase B has been postponed and divided in two phases, with the first phase starting on October 12, 2026 followed by the second phase on January 1, 2027

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has extended the implementation timeline for mandatory electronic invoicing to March 2, 2026.

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) has announced a five-month postponement for the mandatory implementation of Phase B.

Mandatory for Issuing:
– B2G: Economic operators must submit e-invoices that are in accordance with the European standard.
– From March 2, 2026, B2B: large enterprises (gross revenues exceeding EUR 1M for tax year 2023).
– From October 1, 2026, B2B: remaining of taxpayers.
Mandatory for Receiving:
– B2G: All contracting authorities
– B2B: March 2, 2026

Archiving Period:
5- 10 years. Exceptionally, the 5 year storage period may be extended in specific cases. Each case should be checked ad hoc.
