Slovakia provides more guidance on the upcoming e-Invoicing and e-reporting mandate

The Financial Administration of the Slovak Republic has issued expanded FAQ guidance on the upcoming mandatory electronic invoicing and digital reporting requirements, confirming key VAT and technical rules ahead of the January 1, 2027, mandatory go-live date.

Slovakia confirms mandatory e-invoicing from January 1, 2027

The National Council of Slovakia has approved amendments to the VAT Act, introducing mandatory structured e-invoicing with transaction-level digital reporting for domestic supplies starting January 2027. The regime will expand from July 2030 to include intra-EU scenarios.

Slovakia publishes accreditation requirements for service providers

As a step forward in establishing the framework for the upcoming e-invoicing mandate, Slovakia’s Financial Administration has released accreditation requirements and processes for service providers seeking to operate Access Points for e-invoice exchange.
