Faced with fragmented systems, administrative burden and growing cross‑border demands, the EU is redesigning how businesses interact both with each other and with public authorities across the Single Market in a new digital way.
In this session, Carmen Ciciriello from the European Commission’s DG GROW — the body responsible for keeping the Single Market workable for businesses — will explain how various digital initiatives launched by the EU fit together from the inside. DG GROW sits at the intersection of policy ambition and business reality, shaping how EU rules are designed, aligned, and implemented across all 27 Member States.
Rather than focusing on individual regulations, the session will connect the dots between initiatives such as:
E‑invoicing and data standards
Digital identities and eIDAS
Customs and ESG reform
Cross‑border data‑sharing
Why attend
By placing today’s regulatory changes in a broader economic and geopolitical context, this session will help attendees understand where the EU is headed, why these changes are happening now, and how to align systems and data strategies.
